Tom Branski is a technical director at SCT
cable access programming station. He was in contact more with Steven
Avkast and Locus Wheeler during the popular run of the show Fact or
Fiction, than anyone else. His observations of the two are interesting and
sometimes humorous. In spite of the amazingly bad production value of the
show they put on, they were popular. Mr. Branski discusses this local
phenomenon as well as speculates on what may have happened. In the course
of this extensive interview, Tom gets into many interesting aspects of the
world surrounding Fact or Fiction: the anonymous IRC call ins, the battle
royale between management and the hosts. The personalities of Steven
Avkast and Locus Wheeler.
His words of the authorities are not kind, in that they were very heavy handed in the confiscation of video tapes, etc. after the murders took place. While Tom does believe Jim Suerd to be crazy, he does raise interesting questions about the case, namely; "How could one man do all that?" This is a question that has been raised by more than a few people. Many interesting facets of the case are illuminated by Tom Branski. |
