Dr. Vann K. Waller

Dr. Vann Waller Dr. Vann Waller is a respected forensic pathologist. His testimony was instrumental in many cases previous to the Fact or Fiction murders. Among these cases was the infamous "dog star man" serial killings in the early eighties.

His work with computer enhanced forensics led him to fame as the prime developer of the Kut software. This system interpolates badly decomposed and severly mutilated body parts and creates a "photographic" representation of the victim, cuts before and after, etc. It was with this system that identification of Locus Wheeler was made in the "Fact or Fiction" case.

Dr. Waller's interview was like that of many officials involved in the case. His feeling, based upon the information that was given to him was that Jim Suerd is the killer.

Unlike other people involved in the case, he would not speculate on what happened to Steven Avkast. He feels that there are problems with the case, but not enough to lead to any conclusion other than the one at which the courts arrived.
